Inflation ticks up to 3.8% in April

MANILA, Philippines: Inflation slightly accelerated last month due to increases in key food items, the Philippine Statistics Authority reported on Tuesday.

For three consecutive months, inflation picked up 3.8 percent in April from March’s 3.7 percent but was lower than the 6.6 percent recorded in the same month last year.
