MANILA, Philippines — Gabriela Women’s Partylist Rep. Arlene Brosas announced her intention to run as senator in the 2025 midterm elections to push for more comprehensive legislation that would protect women and children.
“Alam ko po, panahon na para lumaban tayo ng tunay na boses at tunay na pagbabago sa Senado… Ang mga namumuno sa atin walang pakialam at pansariling interes lamang ang kanilang ginagawa at kanya kanya silang bangayan (It’s time for us to fight for our own voices and for real change in the Senate… Our current leaders only have their own interests to protect and they also fight each other),” Brosas said during her nomination on Tuesday.
