Former Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea has made a big statement—former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is not inside The Hague Penitentiary Institution, the place where many thought he was being held. But now, the big question is: Where is Duterte?
Confusion About Duterte’s Whereabouts
Medialdea said he was told that Duterte was supposed to be taken to a hospital. But when he asked for the name of the hospital, nobody gave him an answer.
“Until now, they still haven’t told us which hospital,” Medialdea said. “So, we started thinking—maybe he was brought straight to the prison instead.”
But when Medialdea arrived at The Hague Penitentiary, he was met with shocking news.
“We were told that there is no Rodrigo Duterte in this facility,” he said. “We don’t know where he is. We’re confused.”
Claims of a Secret Plot
Medialdea also said that the prison staff did not recognize him as Duterte’s legal representative, which made him even more suspicious.
“This is a joke! This is part of their plan to kidnap Duterte and take him away from the Philippines,” Medialdea said angrily.
He also shared a shocking personal experience—he claimed that he was forced to board a plane to The Hague without a valid visa!
Now, he and his team are planning to return to the International Criminal Court (ICC) to demand answers.
Vice President Sara Duterte Also Waiting for News
Medialdea also spoke with Vice President Sara Duterte (Duterte’s daughter). She is also waiting for updates but has not revealed where she is at the moment.
Supporters Demand Answers
Outside the prison, a group of Filipino supporters arrived, hoping to check if Duterte was inside. They even showed a printed document that they thought would allow them to visit him.
But security denied their entry and told them they needed to contact the ICC first.
As frustration grew, the supporters began shouting: “Where is Duterte?”
Appealing to the King of Netherlands
A Filipina supporter, Luzviminda vander Becken, who lives in Belgium, said their group now plans to write a letter to the King of Netherlands, asking for his help in finding Duterte.
“We know that the King of Netherlands is kind, loving, and respects Filipinos,” she said. “We will request his help to find Duterte. We are also worried about his health.”
Now, the world is watching, and the big mystery remains: Where is former President Rodrigo Duterte?
