Cebu wants more international artists to perform after LANY’s 3-night concert!

In Cebu, Philippines, after the amazing success of the American pop rock band LANY’s three-night concert, the city is looking to bring more international artists to perform. Marga Nograles, who is the Chief Operations Officer of the Tourism Promotions Board, said that LANY’s concert shows how much people in Cebu love international music.

Nograles shared, “LANY’s concerts were a big hit in Cebu, and this proves that people here really enjoy live music from around the world. We’re really excited about it!” She explained that they are now working with big promoters like Live Nation to invite more international artists to perform in Cebu and other important places that are great for hosting big events.

The plan is to connect these concerts with other fun activities for visitors, like food festivals, cultural events, and eco-tourism activities, so people can have an even better experience of the Philippines. Nograles also talked about Cebu’s exciting nightlife, saying, “Cebu has a lively nightlife with lots of local bars, places for live music, and fun things to do that attract both locals and tourists.”

She mentioned that they are encouraging the creation of more entertainment areas and venues where not only concerts can happen but also other events that could help tourists stay longer and support local businesses. “We believe nightlife is an important part of tourism in the city, and we’re dedicated to improving it with different and sustainable entertainment options. With Cebu becoming known for both daytime and nighttime fun, we’re hopeful it will attract even more tourists and international artists in the future,” she said.

During their concert in Cebu, LANY’s lead singer Paul Klein expressed his excitement, saying, “This is the first time we’re performing in Cebu. We will remember this for the rest of our lives.” The concert was presented by Live Nation Philippines, and the band was thrilled to bring their “A Beautiful Blur: The World Tour” to the province.
