Sara Urged to Return, Confront Fund Controversy

MANILA, Philippines — The government has asked Vice President Sara Duterte to return to the Philippines, do her job, and answer questions about how her office used secret government money.

What’s the Issue?
The Office of the Vice President (OVP) had special funds called “confidential funds.” These funds are meant for important work, like national security and safety, but how they were used is now being questioned. People want to know if the money was spent properly or if something suspicious happened.

Recently, some strange names like “Jay Kamote” and “Miggy Mango” were found in the OVP’s records as people who received money. The problem? No one knows who these people are, and they might not even be real!

Because of this, many are asking VP Sara to prove if the receipts and records are true or fake.

What Did Malacañang Say?
The Palace, which is the official workplace of the President, said that VP Sara should come back home and explain everything. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said:

🔹 If something suspicious has been found, it must be investigated.
🔹 The people have the right to know where their tax money goes.
🔹 VP Sara must show proof that everything is legal and correct.

Even though VP Sara is in the Netherlands right now, the Palace reminded her that she still has a duty to Filipinos. They said she must focus on her job as vice president, not just on personal matters.

More Strange Names in the List?
This is not the first time unusual names have appeared in the OVP’s records. Last year, lawmakers also found odd names like:

✅ “Mary Grace Piattos”
✅ “Pia Piatos-Lim”
✅ “Renan Piatos”
✅ “Xiaome Ocho”

Because of these findings, lawmakers are questioning if the OVP’s money was given to real people or if it was misused.

VP Sara’s Response
VP Sara denied misusing any money. She also challenged the case against her in the Supreme Court, saying the impeachment against her was not legal.

However, with more suspicious names appearing, the pressure is growing for her to return and clear things up.

What Happens Next?
Many people are now waiting to see if:

✔️ VP Sara will return to the Philippines and explain everything.
✔️ The investigation will find proof of whether the money was used correctly or not.
✔️ The Supreme Court will decide on her case.

For now, Filipinos are watching closely to see how this issue unfolds. Will the vice president prove her innocence? Or will the investigation uncover more problems? Stay tuned!
