Israel Carries Out Attack in South Lebanon as War Continues

In Lebanon, there have been more airstrikes from Israel, which resulted in the deaths of three people near the southern city of Sidon. This happened on Sunday, and it’s part of a bigger fight between Israel and a group called Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran. They have been clashing since late September.

Israel’s military reported that it stopped some rockets fired from Lebanon before they could hit their targets, although some landed in empty areas. The conflict started getting worse after an attack by a group called Hamas on October 7, which made things tense between Israel and its neighbors.

The strikes near Sidon caused injuries to nine other people, and one of the attacks hit a residential building in a nearby town called Ghaziyeh, where a child was rescued from the debris. Another strike damaged a hospital in a town called Tebnin.

In response to these tensions, Israel warned people living in the Baalbek area of Lebanon that it would target places linked to Hezbollah. There have been several air raids in that region recently.

The conflict has been devastating, with over 1,900 people reported dead in Lebanon since it started. This includes a worker from Bangladesh who lost his life on Saturday in Beirut.

Meanwhile, Iran’s leaders have threatened Israel and the United States with consequences for their attacks. In Tehran, people protested and burned flags to remember a historical event from 1979 that strained relations between Iran and the U.S.

In Gaza, Israel continues its military operations against Hamas, claiming to have killed many militants in recent days. However, these actions have also caused significant harm to civilians, leading to calls for humanitarian aid.

The United Nations reported that many people in Gaza are in desperate need of help and basic supplies, but access has been restricted. Despite objections from other countries, Israel has decided to ban the main aid agency from working in certain areas.

Families are mourning their loved ones, and there is growing frustration among Israelis about the government’s handling of the situation, particularly regarding hostages still held by Hamas.

The situation remains critical, with the potential for further escalations and urgent needs for humanitarian aid.
