Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin are serving nostalgia and second chances in their upcoming film together.
MarJo’s reunion project “Ex Ex Lovers” released its first teaser trailer on Wednesday night and it got ‘90s kids both laughing and kilig.
Jolina plays Joy, who travels to Valletta, Malta to reunite with Ced, played by Marvin. Her goal is to ask Ced to walk their daughter down the aisle, as per her request.
However, Joy and Ced do not have the best relationship and are still angry at each other over their past relationship.
The teaser trailer also references MarJo’s hit 1998 film, “Labs Kita… Okey Ka Lang?” wherein Jolina says the line, “Sure ka bang kaibigan mo lang ako?”
“Ex Ex Lovers” will also star Juan Karlos and Loisa Andalio. It is directed by JP Habac and produced by Project 8 Projects and Cornerstone Entertainment.
Jolina and Marvin’s reunion project was first teased in June when they posed for a photo with award-winning filmmakers Antoinette Jadaone and Dan Villegas, the founders of Project 8 Projects.
MarJo or Marvin-Jolina is one of the Philippines’ most legendary loveteams. Among their most famous films include “Hey Babe!” and “Flames: The Movie!” They are also known for starring in the series “Gimik” and “I Luv NY.”
