The Christmas season is in full swing, and malls across Metro Manila are buzzing with festive activities, creative displays, and meaningful initiatives. Here’s a closer look at what some malls are offering to bring holiday cheer to shoppers and make a difference in their communities.
Fisher Mall: Shopping with a Heart
Fisher Mall on Quezon Avenue marked the start of the holidays with a dazzling Christmas tree-lighting ceremony and the launch of its heartwarming “Fishing for Joy” campaign.
How It Works
The campaign allows Fisher Mall’s Elite Cardholders to help children battling cancer. For every purchase made using their card until December 31, 10% of the amount goes directly to Bahay Aruga Inc., a non-government organization that provides temporary shelter and care for young cancer patients.
A Season of Giving Back
“At Fisher Mall, we believe in spreading joy beyond the season. Through the ‘Fishing for Joy’ campaign, we want to make giving back simple and impactful for our shoppers,” said Raymond Del Rosario, President of Fisher Mall Group of Companies.
The lighting ceremony was graced by notable attendees, including Quezon City Congressman Juan Carlos “Arjo” Atayde, who joined in a special gift-giving event for the children. Other officials, such as Quezon City District 1 Action Officer Ollie Belmonte and Manila Broadcasting Company Chairman Frederico J. Elizalde, showed their support for this meaningful advocacy.
Del Rosario emphasized that the campaign is inspired by the vision of his father, Robert “Bobby” Del Rosario, Fisher Mall’s Chairman, and will continue to support Bahay Aruga Inc. into 2024.
