This partnership with Klook will help promote the Philippines as a top tourist destination and create more job opportunities. Klook is already one of Asia’s biggest travel platforms, with over 500,000 experiences in 2,700 destinations. This collaboration will allow local travel agencies and operators to sell their packages online, reaching a global audience.
DOT’s Mission to Showcase Filipino Culture
Tourism Secretary Frasco explained that the goal of PEP is to show the world not just the fun and adventure of the Philippines but also the rich culture and heritage of its people. She believes that by sharing the diverse experiences of the Philippines, more tourists will be drawn to explore the country.
Klook is excited about the partnership, too. They are eager to help showcase the Philippines’ beautiful natural wonders and the warmth of its people to travelers worldwide.
Klook’s Ongoing Efforts
Klook has been working with the DOT since the COVID-19 pandemic to help local tourism businesses grow through training and product development. They’ve also helped promote local attractions, like the Intramuros Pass, which gives exclusive access to the famous historical site.
