Philippine Peso Exchange Rates: April 10, 2025

Today is April 10, 2025, and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) released its official exchange rates. This tells us how much 1 unit of another country’s money is worth in Philippine pesos (PHP) — and even compared to the U.S. dollar and the euro!

🏦 What is an Exchange Rate?

An exchange rate tells us how much of one currency (like the peso) you need to trade for another currency (like dollars or yen). It changes every day depending on how strong a country’s economy is!

🌍 Top 15 Currencies Compared to the Philippine Peso (PHP):

  1. 🇺🇸 US Dollar (USD) = ₱57.26
➤ This means 1 dollar can be exchanged for 57 pesos.
➤ It’s the most commonly used currency worldwide.

  2. 🇯🇵 Japanese Yen (JPY) = ₱0.39
➤ 1 yen is less than 1 peso. You’d need about 3 yen to get 1 peso.

  3. 🇬🇧 British Pound (GBP) = ₱73.41
➤ Very strong! 1 British pound can get you over 73 pesos.

  4. 🇭🇰 Hong Kong Dollar (HKD) = ₱7.38
➤ Still higher than PHP, but much lower than the US dollar.

  5. 🇨🇭 Swiss Franc (CHF) = ₱66.79
➤ Strong like the pound. Switzerland has a very strong economy.

  6. 🇨🇦 Canadian Dollar (CAD) = ₱40.64
➤ Not as strong as the US dollar but still valuable!

  7. 🇸🇬 Singapore Dollar (SGD) = ₱42.78
➤ Singapore’s economy is solid, so their currency is also strong.

  8. 🇦🇺 Australian Dollar (AUD) = ₱35.22
➤ Australia’s dollar is weaker than Canada’s or Singapore’s today.

  9. 🇧🇭 Bahrain Dinar (BHD) = ₱151.90
➤ SUPER strong! 1 dinar is worth over 150 pesos.

  10. 🇰🇼 Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) = ❌ No data today
➤ This is often the strongest currency in the world, but no update today.

  11. 🇸🇦 Saudi Riyal (SAR) = ₱15.25
➤ Many OFWs use this! It’s still stronger than the peso.

  12. 🇧🇳 Brunei Dollar (BND) = ₱42.62
➤ Brunei’s money is almost the same as Singapore’s.

  13. 🇮🇩 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) = ₱0.0034
➤ Super small! You need nearly 300 rupiah to make 1 peso.

  14. 🇹🇭 Thai Baht (THB) = ₱1.68
➤ A little stronger than other Southeast Asian currencies.

  15. 🇦🇪 UAE Dirham (AED) = ₱15.59
➤ Widely used by OFWs in the Middle East — higher than the peso!

💰 Extra Info from BSP:

  • BSP Buying Rate (they buy dollars): ₱57.05

  • BSP Selling Rate (they sell dollars): ₱57.55

  • Reference Rate: ₱57.30

  • Gold Price: $3,084.40 (per ounce)

  • Silver Price: $30.90 (per ounce)

✅ Why Should You Care?

If you’re an OFW, doing business, traveling, or sending money, this helps you know how much your money is worth. Stronger currencies = more pesos when you exchange them!
