PAL Expands Cebu Hub: What This Means for Travelers

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is making it easier for people to travel from Cebu by adding more flights and using bigger planes. Starting this month, PAL will increase its domestic flights by 10%, which means there will be 287 more weekly round-trip flights from Mactan-Cebu International Airport.

In the past, PAL used smaller planes with only 86 seats for some routes, but now they will use bigger planes that can carry 199 passengers! This means there will be 17% more seats available, which equals over 39,000 more seats for travelers.

Rabbi Vincent Ang, the president of PAL Express, said that these changes show the airline’s commitment to making travel easier, boosting the economy, and helping tourism grow in and out of Cebu.

For the summer season, PAL will add more flights to popular destinations. Flights to Boracay will increase from 14 to 21 times a week, and flights to Siargao will go from 18 to 26 times a week. For Palawan, flights to Puerto Princesa will increase from 7 to 14 times a week, and flights to Coron (Busuanga) will increase from 14 to 17 times a week. This gives travelers more choices and more chances to visit these beautiful places.

On top of that, PAL is also starting international flights from Cebu. They will begin flying to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon), Vietnam, in May.

With this expansion, PAL will offer flights to 31 domestic locations and 37 destinations around the world, including Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East.

So, whether you’re traveling for business or vacation, PAL is making it easier than ever to fly to more places directly from Cebu! ✈️🌏
