MANILA, Philippines — THEeasterlies will bring warm, humid weather in most parts of the country amid the onset of the rainy season, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday.
The winds that come from the east and pass through the Pacific Ocean are affecting Metro Manila and the rest of the country, weather specialist Grace Castaneda said in a 5 a.m. report.
“The weather system is bringing clear and sunny skies especially in the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao,” she said.
Pagasa said the weather disturbance the agency has been monitoring outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has been downgraded into a low pressure area.
