Niño Muhlach issued a statement after his son, Sandro, filed a formal complaint against two individuals at the National Bureau of Investigation.
In a Facebook post on Friday evening, Niño said that his family “has suffered so much because of the unspeakable and vile acts done to our son.”
“We ask for your prayers to help us muster enough strength and courage to withstand the horror of re-living the dastardly acts of the perpetrators as we seek justice through our legal system. Thank you for all your support and kind words and your gracious gift of space. We truly appreciate it,” he said.
According to “24 Oras” on Friday, Sandro was accompanied by his father in filing the formal complaint.
GMA Integrated News is still confirming the identities of the subjects of the complaint.
In a statement on Thursday, GMA Network said it has received a formal complaint from Sandro against two GMA independent contractors, Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
Recognizing the seriousness of the alleged incident, GMA Network had already initiated its own investigation even before receiving the formal complaint.
GMA Network has not provided additional details on the investigation as of this writing.
When asked how he was doing, this was Sandro’s reply:
“Hindi po ako OK pero kakayanin ko po,” he told GMA Integrated News in a text message.
Meanwhile, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, the legal counsel of Nones and Cruz, has issued a statement saying the “allegations do not mirror the true accounts of the event” and that they “reserve the right to respond in a proper form when we receive a copy of the formal complaint.”
GMA Network first released a statement early this week after posts spread online about the son of an actor who was allegedly violated by two men.
