Marian Rivera is thrilled and grateful as her movie Balota sees sold-out screenings during its opening week! The actress shared her appreciation with fans who showed incredible support. “Nakakataba ng puso, seeing so many Filipinos support this film,” Marian said, explaining that the story of Balota is dedicated to teachers.
Marian also thanked her friends and celebrity supporters, saying, “You know who you are—thank you for your amazing support!”
Despite the heavy rains and strong winds from Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami), Marian sent a heartfelt message to everyone: “To all our kababayans affected by the storm, please stay safe. And for those coming to watch Balota, take care on the way, and thank you so much for still coming out to support.”
Balota, which returned to cinemas this month after a successful Cinemalaya run, stars Marian as Teacher Emmy—a role that earned her the Best Actress award at Cinemalaya, which she shares with Gabby Padilla.
