PRAGUE—President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. welcomed the increase in his net satisfaction rating but added that his administration didn’t conduct policy based on polls.
”I heard a little bit about that. Well, of course, it’s always good news. But, you know, we do not conduct policy according to surveys,” Marcos told Filipino reporters.
”It is good that… because I’ve been talking about this since the changes that we wanted, that we have been making have been, very structural and fundamental changes and, by their very nature, such structural changes take time to trickle down, and for people to feel the actual effects of what we are doing,” he added.
TheSWS survey, conducted from December 8 to 11, 2023 showed Marcos getting a rating of +47 (65% satisfied minus 18% dissatisfied), higher than the +44 he got in September 2023.
The President’s net satisfaction rating was highest in Balance Luzon at very good +52, followed by the Visayas at very good +51, Metro Manila at good +44, and Mindanao at good +38.
According to Marcos, he is happy that “people are seeing the wisdom of some of the measures that we’ve undertaken, the policy changes that we’ve made, the legislations that we have requested from the Congress.”
Marcos vowed to continue doing the hard work for the public.
The net satisfaction rating of Marcos went up in all areas of the country, except in Mindanao. —NB, GMA Integrated News
