Despite the rain, about 1,000 people visited Manila South Cemetery on Thursday morning to remember their loved ones. But the big crowd is expected tomorrow, November 1, says cemetery manager Henry Dy. Last year, over 500,000 people visited on All Saints’ Day.
Dy advised visitors to come early today or tomorrow to avoid the rush. The cemetery will be open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., and overnight stays are not allowed.
To help with the busy weekend, local governments in Metro Manila have shared traffic alerts and cemetery schedules for Undas 2024.
