Two of K-pop’s biggest groups, NewJeans and 2NE1, met backstage at 2NE1’s “Welcome Back” concert in Seoul last week! The younger group, NewJeans, took a photo with the legendary 2NE1, all while holding 2NE1 lightsticks.
In a fun Instagram post by Sandara Park, fans got a glimpse of the two groups chatting together. Sandara also showed off a signed NewJeans merch box from their “Supernatural” era.
2NE1’s Minzy has even done a dance cover of “Supernatural” with her fellow 2NE1 members, making the connection between the two groups even more special!
Other stars like Jennie from Blackpink were also spotted at the concert.
Exciting news for Filipino fans: 2NE1 will be performing in Manila at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on November 16 and 17 as part of their reunion tour, “Welcome Back.” Due to high demand, more seats have been added for the November 16 show.
NewJeans was just in the Philippines in September for the Coke Studio: Ultimate Fandom concert, continuing their growing popularity worldwide!
