Iza Calzado will forever be our Amihan!
The actress made an “Encantadia” reference in her latest Instagram post, showing black-and-white photos of her with a wind effect evident in the silhouettes of her gown and hair.
“Hanggang ngayon, hawak ko pa rin pala ang Brilyante ng Hangin,” Iza said in her caption with a blue heart.
“Posible din naman na wind effect lang ito!” she added with a laughing emoji.
The comments section is filled with Iza’s fellow artists and fans complimenting her beauty. Content creator Macoy Dubs commented, “Ivo live Lireo,” which means “Long live Lireo.”
Iza has paid tribute to her iconic “Encantadia” character through the years.
When she was pregnant, she did a Sang’gre-inspired photo shoot. The actress also named her daughter Deia Amihan after her character.
The original Sang’gres composed of Iza, Karylle, Diana Zubiri, and Sunshine Dizon reunited for a “Magpasikat” performance on “It’s Showtime” in 2023.
In the upcoming spin-off fantaserye “Sang’gre,” Angel Guardian’s character, the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Hangin, is named Deia, with Iza giving director Mark Reyes her blessing.
Kylie Padilla played Amihan in the 2016 “Encantadia” reboot and will be reprising her role in “Sang’gre.”
