Israeli Airstrikes Hit Beirut Suburb, No Ceasefire Yet

Israeli airstrikes hit the southern suburbs of Beirut on Tuesday, launching one of the strongest daytime attacks in the area. Smoke filled the sky as missiles hit around noon. The strikes targeted Hezbollah-controlled zones, but there were no immediate reports of injuries. The Israeli military warned people to stay away from certain areas, saying they were near Hezbollah facilities.

In northern Israel, drones from Lebanon targeted the region, hitting a kindergarten yard in Haifa, but no children were harmed. Meanwhile, the Israeli military launched a deadly attack in a village near Beirut, killing five people and injuring others.

Israel’s military has been targeting Hezbollah for over a year, with attacks in Lebanon and northern Israel, fueled by the Gaza conflict. The Israeli airstrikes have caused widespread destruction, with more than 3,200 people killed in Lebanon. Israel says it aims to disarm Hezbollah and secure its borders.

The Lebanese government and Hezbollah have repeatedly called for a ceasefire, but Israel’s defense minister said that they would not stop until their goals were achieved. The conflict has displaced over 1 million people in Lebanon, leading to a massive humanitarian crisis. The UN has reported increasing civilian casualties, including many children, as airstrikes continue.

Despite calls for peace, the war shows no sign of stopping, as the human cost rises with each passing day.
