Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared that the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar will not stop the “Axis of Resistance” from continuing its fight. Despite Sinwar’s loss, Khamenei emphasized that the Hamas movement will remain strong and continue its cause.
“His passing is painful for the Axis of Resistance, but this will not stop its progress,” Khamenei said. “Hamas is alive and will stay alive.”
Sinwar, the key figure behind the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel, was killed during a gunfight with Israeli forces after a long search. Khamenei praised Sinwar’s leadership, calling him a symbol of resistance.
The “Axis of Resistance,” a network backed by Iran, includes groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and others, united against Israel and Western influence in the Middle East. Khamenei vowed that Iran would continue to support these groups.
