Diana Zubiri Laughs Off Her Famous FHM Magazine Feature

Actress Diana Zubiri took a trip down memory lane and shared a playful nod to one of the most talked-about moments in her career. In her latest Instagram post, Diana posed in a fuchsia dress and white heels beside an empty train, a scene that brought back memories of her controversial FHM photoshoot from over two decades ago.

She captioned the post with a witty line:
“Dito na lang ako aabang nang masasakyan para di ako mademanda uli.” (Translation: “I’ll just wait for a ride here so I won’t get sued again.”)

Diana added another humorous line, “Gets mo ba?” (Translation: “Do you get it?”), showing her lighthearted approach to the controversy that made headlines in 2002.

The Iconic 2002 Photoshoot

Back in 2002, Diana became the talk of the town when she posed in a red bikini on a flyover along EDSA, one of the busiest highways in the Philippines. The daring shoot quickly turned into one of the most memorable moments in Philippine showbiz history.

However, not everyone was thrilled about it. Then-Mandaluyong City Mayor Benjamin Abalos, Jr. filed a case against Diana and the FHM team, claiming the photoshoot violated his instructions for her not to wear a two-piece bikini. Diana later apologized for the incident, and despite the controversy, the shoot remains iconic to this day.

Diana’s Exciting Comeback

The actress is now stepping back into the spotlight, taking on new roles in both film and television. Diana will star in “Mga Batang Riles” as Maying, the loving and resilient mother of Kidlat, played by Miguel Tanfelix. The film promises to showcase her range as an actress and marks her strong return to acting.

Fans can also catch her as a guest on “Bubble Gang” this Sunday, where she’s sure to bring her signature charm and humor to the comedy show.

A Fun Reflection

Diana’s recent post shows how she’s able to laugh at the past and embrace the moments that have shaped her career. It’s a reminder of how far she’s come, both as an actress and as a beloved figure in Philippine entertainment.
