Ayala Land Unveils New Name for Its Hotels & Resorts Arm

MANILA, Philippines — Big changes are happening in the hotel world! Ayala Land Inc. (ALI), one of the biggest real estate companies in the Philippines, is giving its hotels and resorts a fresh new name and a bigger mission. What used to be called “Ayala Land Hotels and Resorts Corp.” is now “Ayala Land Hospitality”—and they have big dreams for tourism in the country!

The announcement was made during a special event in Makati on March 11, where ALI’s top leaders shared exciting plans for the future.

Why the Big Change?

According to Mariana Zobel de Ayala, ALI’s Senior Vice President for Leasing & Hospitality, the goal is simple: Make the Philippines one of the most amazing travel destinations in the world!

“The Philippines should be a defining force in tourism,” Mariana said. She believes that tourism has the power to boost the country’s economy and make it even more famous across the globe.

Aiming for 12 Million Tourists by 2028!

The Philippine government has set a goal: 12 million tourist arrivals by 2028. While this may seem like a small number compared to other countries, Mariana pointed out that the Philippines actually has the highest spending per tourist in the region. That means visitors who come here spend more money, which is great for businesses and local communities!

To support this goal, ALI is stepping up its game with a $500 million investment in tourism.

Big Plans for Seda, El Nido Resorts & More

Ayala Land Hospitality is focusing on homegrown brands like Seda, El Nido Resorts, and Huni, while also working with international hotel partners such as Holiday Inn, Fairmont, and Raffles.

Here’s what’s coming next:

  • Seda Hotels in Bonifacio Global City, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao will get a brand-new modern design over the next three years. The upgrades will keep the hotels stylish but still connected to the local culture.
  • El Nido Resorts will be transformed with unique, curated experiences for guests. This will take four years, but it promises to make every stay even more special!
  • Lagen Island Resort in El Nido is already getting a makeover and will reopen later this year. It’s being redesigned with the help of talented Filipino artists and artisans.
  • Pangulasian and Miniloc Resorts in El Nido will also see major updates, making them even more beautiful and eco-friendly.

Expanding Across the Philippines

Ayala Land Hospitality’s goal is to double its hotel rooms to 8,000 by 2030! That means more places to stay and more reasons for tourists to visit.

For now, they will first focus on cities where Ayala Land already has properties—starting with Makati, Cebu, and Clark, where international flights bring in travelers. But they are also keeping an eye on new locations that could benefit from government investments in tourism.

A Bright Future for Philippine Tourism!

According to George Aquino, President of Ayala Land Hospitality, these changes will make Philippine hotels and resorts more competitive with top destinations worldwide. The company expects double-digit growth every year as they continue to expand and improve.

Paloma Urquijo Zobel de Ayala, the company’s Creative Director, emphasized that this transformation is not just about making hotels look better—it’s about creating unforgettable experiences for visitors while showcasing the beauty of the Philippines.

With all these exciting plans, it looks like Ayala Land Hospitality is ready to take Philippine tourism to the next level! 🌴✨
