Filipino-Canadian star AC Bonifacio has finally addressed the online backlash she received after her time in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition. Despite the criticism, AC is choosing to see it as a chance to grow.
Facing Criticism Head-On
In an exclusive interview with GMA News Online, AC, known as “The Dedicated Showstopper of Canada,” admitted that she understands where people are coming from.
“Like what I keep saying, I’ve really taken everything in as constructive criticism. Alam ko naman po na may mali ako (I know I made mistakes),” AC said.
Although she did not mention the specific criticisms, AC made it clear that she is focused on improving herself.
“I will be better. I mean, I think that’s the only place to go from here—up. I will choose to grow. I will choose to be better. I will take in what everyone’s saying, and I will rethink my actions before I make any,” she added.
The Controversial Moment Inside the PBB House
One of the most talked-about moments in AC’s three-week stay inside the PBB house was her decision not to grant Ashley Ortega immunity from nominations.
AC explained that she felt Ashley was “still being fake” in the house, which sparked online debates among fans. However, after leaving the show, Ashley clarified that there was no bad blood between them.
Eviction and Viral Moment
Despite their popularity, AC and Ashley were the first housemates to be evicted from the competition. They received the lowest percentage of votes to stay: Ralph De Leon & Michael Sager – 45.89% (Highest)
Will Ashley & River Joseph – 36.87%
AC Bonifacio & Ashley Ortega – 17.25% (Eliminated)
But AC and Ashley’s eviction wasn’t the only thing that caught fans’ attention. Their “OA and nonchalant” reaction to being voted out quickly went viral and turned into a meme! Instead of being upset, they embraced the moment, even recreating the viral clip on “It’s Showtime.”
Moving Forward with a Smile
Despite the ups and downs, AC and Ashley have remained close. They even collaborated on a TikTok dance to show fans there are no hard feelings.
As AC moves forward, she is choosing growth, positivity, and improvement. Fans can continue to watch new episodes of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition on GMA Network every weekday at 10 p.m. and weekends at 6:15 p.m..
