Jennylyn Mercado has put an end to persistent rumors about transferring networks.
According to a GMA Network report, the Philippines’ Ultimate Star on Thursday said she is staying with GMA Network, her home network for 20 years.
“I’m very thankful na hanggang ngayon e, ako po ay Kapuso pa rin,” Jennylyn said at a beauty brand event.
Saying “Happy pa rin ako na maging Kapuso,” the actress clarified, “sa ibang network po, wala pong offer ng ibang network.”
Jennylyn’s statement comes at a heels of persistent rumors about an alleged network transfer after viewers noticed absence from the GMA Network station ID.
Her manager, Becky Aguila, explained Jennylyn was simply because she was unavailable during shoot day.
Assuring fans that “GMA extended an invitation” to the actress, Aguila added, “Jennylyn is a loyal artist of GMA and will always remain loyal for as long as her mother network wants her to stay.”
It’s been quite an eventful month for Jennylyn and her husband Dennis Trillo. Shortly after navigating the rumors, they held a groundbreaking ceremony of their new family home, and shared on social media that they now have their own production company.
Jennylyn is currently working on her comeback album and is set to headline a movie with Dennis — their first as a married couple — titled, “Everything About My Wife,” a romantic comedy and a Philippine adaptation of an Argentinian film.
