Two personalities have recently joined the call to free Palestine amid its worsening conflict with Israel.
In separate posts, local content creator Mathilda Airlines and Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados shared their views on the Israel-Palestine war.
In a video on October 24, Mathilda can be seen doing her signature pole-spinning move. The clip then jumped to her expressing her reason for advocating for Palestine’s freedom.

“As far as my consciousness is concerned, when human lives are at stake, I feel like my platform is worthless and I don’t deserve it if I do not use it for the sake of the marginalized specifically about the situation of the Palestinian people in the hands of Israel government,” she said.
“This is not a war for religious freedom. This is a fight for basic human rights and who is depriving [them]. This is a battle for the right to live with dignity against Israel’s government atrocity,” she added.
Mathilda also addressed some “country leaders” supporting the Israeli government.
“This is not just a message of condemnation, but it is a clear message of an urgent appeal to some country leaders, do not use your taxpayers’ money to support the perpetrators,” Mathilda said.
As of October 23, the Gaza Ministry of Health logged 5,087 deaths in Gaza since the Hamas attack on October 7.

Gazini’s stance
On October 25, Gazini, whose father is Palestinian, shared that she had just kept in touch with her father and the rest of her family who reside in Gaza, which is the ground zero for the ongoing battle.
She also uploaded snapshots of her conversations with them who are directly affected by the ongoing war.

In her post, Gazini also expressed that it has been a “heartbreaking” week for her and that she has been “sick” to her stomach since the Hamas assault on October 7.
She said that she has kept her silence for a while because she has to learn more about the history of the fight first.
Gazini then called out the Israeli government for pounding Gaza, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of people in retaliation.
“I would like to express my deep sorrow for the Israelis who have lost their lives and been injured in the dreadful terrorist attacks. Hamas killing civilians was HORRIBLE but Israel countering by killing 10 times more civilians is beyond insane,” the former beauty queen said.
“I cannot remain silent in the face of the Israeli government’s attempt to seek revenge from innocent civilians for the terrorist attack. I will not remain silent about this genocide either especially since my family’s life depends on it,” she added.
